The Legend Of The Old Prince
Many centuries ago ruled in Tricase a prince so ruthless and cruel to execute those who did the slightest thing could disturb his noble vision. This prince was called by his subjects "Old Prince."
Being persecuted by the demands some farmers who wanted a church in the area of \u200b\u200bthe SS Medici, Prince decided to ask for help from his friend the Devil with whom he established a pact: the devil in one night would have built the church using the energy and in return the evil prince in that same church, should have offered a consecrated host to a goat, representing Satan.
Lucifer was not less to the covenant and the church built in one night, decided to give the prince a chest of gold coins.
The prince, however, despite all his wickedness, did not dare to defy God and did not keep the agreement in advance. This sparked
the wrath of the king of evil that sparked a violent storm dragging the church bells on the bottom of the Canal del Rio. And it 'just for this reason that during the storms still hear the sound of the bells that lie under the sea.
still furious at being duped, the Devil returned to church and had cut off the canvas paintings and stone carvings that adorned the altar.
Prince did not care all that much of the wrath of the devil, or rather ran to retrieve the treasure chest in which, however, instead of gold, he found unnecessary copper coins.
From that day the citizens of Tricase decided to wall up the entrances so that the Spirit of Evil strayed from the church.
